Peak Presence Climbing Group
A therapeutic climbing group for youth ages 14 to 17 that combines the challenges of climbing with opportunities for emotional growth and connection.
Throughout this fall semester, teens will develop trust, build resilience, and gain self-confidence—one climb at a time.
During this four-month course, the group will meet weekly to work on: Executive Functioning, Sociality, Emotional Regulation, Mindfulness.
Led by clinical experts and experienced climbing instructors, Kristy Barr of KBarr Counseling and the therapeutic team from Alliance Experiential, who together bring over 20 years of climbing experience. This ongoing program integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches like DBT, executive functioning strategies, mindfulness, and group process work—outside the traditional therapy room.
